Mon, 24 Apr 2006 2006 Macworld Awards nominations unveiled

It's been a year of big changes and tiny products since Macworld editors and contributors last voted on their favourite Mac hardware and software of the previous 12 months.
Apple announced a switch to Intel processors and started shipping its new Macs ahead of schedule.
The iPod got smaller, but the accessory market can't stop growing – and neither can the exciting fields of internet telephony, digital photography, and digital home entertainment.
The competition for the 2006 Macworld Awards is therefore tougher than it has been for years.
Winners will be announced at a glittering ceremony on June 29 at the Royal Courts of Justice, London.
Nominees for the four awards voted by Macworld readers and the FileMaker Solution of the Year Award will be announced in May.
The 2006 Macworld Awards is sponsored by JBL, Harman Kardon, Quark, and FileMaker.
