People who make their podcasts available through iTunes have received emails from the iTunes team.

The emails inform podcasters that Apple has issued revised specifications for people who have a podcast distributed through iTunes. It includes hints on how to enhance the way podcast listings look by using iTunes-specific tags.

Apple has added podcasting tools within iLife '06. However, RSS and podcasting guru David Winer last week took Apple to task for not using standard forms of RSS in iPhoto's new "Photocasting" feature.

He pointed out that Apple's implementation can only be read in Safari and NetNewsWire.

Apple launched a podcasting forum on its discussion boards last week.
