All three available updates weigh in at over 200MB downloads, and all three are available now from Apple's Support website.

The company is recommending all Boot Camp users install their relevant update, explaining the patch: "Addresses issues and improves compatibility with (the relevant supported Windows installation) Microsoft running on a Mac computer using Boot Camp."

Installation of Boot Camp 2.1 is required before installing Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3).

Apple's Boot Camp software is widely thought to have helped the company grow market share and increase its sales at a rate far beyond the industry average.

Needham & Co. analyst Charlie Wolf yesterday noted the relevance of Boot Camp in some sectors: "The March spike in education sales provided the first indication of the importance of this feature," he said.
