Fri, 16 Oct 2009 Gadget Show highlights iPhone app development with weekly challenge
Suzi Perry and Jason Bradbury developed iPhone apps
The Gadget Show, five’s popular tech focused show, this week took a detailed look at iPhone application development, when two presenters faced off, each developing a new application for the Apple iTunes App Store.
Presenter Suzi Perry, worked alongside Mediatonic, a social gaming specialist based in London, to develop a free application called Biker Blast-Off!.
Perry and co-host Jason Bradbury battled to see which application received the most downloads, the challenge pitting game against application, and homebrew developers against a professional team.
Bradbury's self-developed application for generating social network status updates without typing highlighted what's typically involved for small iPhone developers creating applications for the iTunes Store.
Monday's Gadget Show is repeated tomorrow, Saturday 17 October at 11:20 am on five, and is also available to view online at Demand Five, five's catch-up TV service.

I found both apps over sensitive. Suzi's app ends while you are in the middle of a jump instead of when you actually crash, and Jason's sends the statuses before you have a chance to make sure is ok.

Is this show UK-only? I am unable to watch any of their videos...
