Adobe has released a pair of essential security updates for Photoshop and the widely-used Flash Player.

The updates are available now through those application's Auto-Update feature and for direct download from the company's support and security website.

The updates fix three vulnerabilities in Flash player plug-in and two in Photoshop (versions CS2 and CS3).

The exploits could allow an attacker to successfully execute malicious code on a target system. Exploit code for these flaws has been found online.

The security flaws are rated as "highly critical". Users of either application should install the updates immediately, Adobe explains.
