Ambrosia Software has reached a deal to bring an award-winning game to the Mac.
The long-time Mac developer has reached a deal with Bit Blot under which it is to release Aquaria for Mac OS X.
It's a side-scrolling underwater action adventure game that uses an innovative mouse control system that lets players take the main character through a huge undersea world.
Aquaria was the winner of the 2007 Independent Games Festival's Seumas McNally Grand Prize.
"We're extremely excited to be bringing Aquaria to the Mac, and there's no one we'd rather work with than Ambrosia to make it happen," said Derek Yu, chief artistic officer of Bit Blot.
Aquaria for Mac OS X will be a Universal Binary, compatible with PowerPC and Intel based Macs that meet the minimum system requirements, to be determined.
No release date has been announced.
