Apple has asked the testers enrolled in its AppleSeed program to focus their attention on Facebook integration, as well as Messages, Game Center, Safari and Reminders in the latest build of Mountain Lion 10.8.2.

Beta testing is underway on build 12C35 of Mountain Lion 10.8.2. This is not the final build of the software update that is expected to include features that will work alongside iOS 6, expected to launch in the next few weeks.

The first beta of 10.8.2 was seeded to developers last week.

Mountain Lion 10.8.1 was issued as an update to Mac users last week. The update included a fix for Migration Assistant Crash, improvements to Mail's support for Microsoft Exchange, and resolution for a bug that affected connecting to SMB servers with long names, along with a fix for issues when playing audio via Thunderbolt, bug fixes for iMessages, and a fix for a crash that happened when you used Pinyin input.

Apple’s OS X 10.8.1 update was also expected to restore battery life to the levels previously enjoyed before the update to OS X 10.8. However, testing has found that, while some improvement can be seen, the battery life expectations have not returned to those previously seen.
