Chronos has released its iScrapbook software for the Mac.

The software has been designed for users who want to keep scrabooks of the various pieces of digital information they gather in their own life and find online.

Chronos vice president Jerry Halls said: "Many novice and experienced scrapbookers have been looking for a Mac solution so they can move from traditional scrapbooking to digital scrapbooking."

iScrapbook ($44.95) has been in development for two years, features a series of graphic tools and ships with a collection of 40,000 designer-quality photographs, photos of objects and vector clip art images.

The software also offers specialty photo corners, background papers, photo frames, pre-designed templates and 100+ Super-Masks for designer effects.

The software offers numerous tools to help users keep virtual scrapbooks, including drawing and graphics tools; object and image alignment and rotation, and a series of special effects, including cropping, sepia, shadow and transparency controls.

Photos and albums from iPhoto are automatically loaded and accessible from the built-in Photo Browser. A 30-day trial version is available from the company website.
