The Mozilla Foundation has released security updates for Firefox versions 2.0 and 1.5.

The group 'strongly recommends' all users install the latest software update in order to apply new security improvements.

Firefox and Firefox are available for free download now for Mac, Linux and Windows systems, the Foundation says. The updates are available here.

Mozilla is urging users of older versions of Firefox to upgrade to version 2.0, saying: "Firefox 1.5.0.x will be maintained with security and stability updates until 24 April 2007."

Firefox 1.5.0.x and Firefox 2.0.0.x can expect to receive automated notification of the release of the security updates.
