DarkAdapted, Mac OS X software designed to control screen gamma on any display, has been updated to version 2.1.

DarkAdapted is widely used by demanding Mac users, such as scientists or medical professionals to provide flexible, dynamic control over their monitor's gamma (screen colour response). Users may define an unlimited number of gamma presets, and invoke them via global hotkeys, by menu selection, or by typing the first few letters of a preset's name.

The system-wide menu allows control over most of DarkAdapted's functions, from any application and from the right side of the menu bar. System-wide hotkeys may be assigned to any menu entry.

Two versions of the software are available: DarkAdapted Standard (free) and DarkAdapted Pro ($10). Users may download a single package, and test DarkAdapted Pro's advanced features.
