Educational content provider Infinite Skills has announced a new training DVD covering Adobe InDesign CS5.
The company worked with graphics professional and Adobe Certified Expert Jeff Witchel to produce a ten-hour course that shows how the program works and how its features are used within common production workflows.
Adobe InDesign lets users create high quality posters, flyers, brochures, magazines and books ready for print and online.
"What we wanted to do was reproduce the same quality of training someone would get in a professional workshop, but deliver it in a much more direct format, and at a much lower cost," said Mike Spaulding, president of Infinite Skills.
The tutorial series includes 97 individual lessons, each focused on a different aspect of InDesign CS5.
After establishing the basics, Witchel explains how layouts work, including the use of grids, sections and master pages. Lessons explore the drawing tools included and break down major aspects of project formatting, from paragraph settings to character and text considerations.
Additionally, colour, graphics, styles, interactivity and printing are thoroughly explored insists Infinite Skills.
Mac and PC compatible, the course is available both shipped on disc and via download. Learning Adobe InDesign CS5 costs £69.17/ €80.86/ $99.95 depending on your location. A selection of the content is available to view free online.
The InDesign CS5 tutorial accompanies Photoshop and Illustrator CS5 courses already available from Infinite Skills. Full details of courses can be found at www.infiniteskills.com.
