Markzware has released MarkzTools 7 for the Mac and QuarkXPress 7.

MarkzTools is as an active XTension that verifies the integrity of QuarkXPress documents before the original master file is over-written. This helps prevents unwanted disasters from occurring, for instance, the creation of a bad file that cannot be opened for editing.

The company describes MarkzTools is a "miracle" utility that serves as "document insurance" as well as salvaging corrupted XPress project files.

MarkzTools also lets users save XPress 7 Projects directly into the Quark 4.1 document format — a missing feature users have wanted for many years.

The software can also convert all of the image previews in a document to "greyscale", drastically reducing file sizes.

MarkzTools 7 may be purchased through UK authorised Markzware reseller XChange International or online. It costs £139 per copy and site licences are available.
