Nik has announced Viveza 2, an upgrade to its plug-in for selective colour and light control.
Available in December, Viveza 2 now offers users global adjustments and precise selective controls that use Nik’s U Point technology.
The plug-in supports Adobe's Photoshop and Photoshop Lightroom, and Apple's Aperture.
Using U Point, users can quickly select areas of an image to adjust by pointing and clicking and then using simple to use sliders to adjust brightness, contrast, saturation, structure, red, green, blue, hue, and warmth.
The new features of Viveza 2 include Color Control Points, enabling precise selective control of color and light; global image adjustments ; levels and curves adjustments; shadow recovery; and fine detail structure enhancements.
There's also improved colour rendering and increased precision of selections; and improved slider controls, slider favourites, multiple zoom states, keyboard nudging, grouped Color Control Points, and multiple undo levels.
The Photoshop version gains Smart Filter support and a Selective Brush tool. Multiple image support has been added to Lightroom and Aperture, and there's overall support for 64-bit versions of Windows.
Viveza 2 costs €199.95 (around £185).
