Quark has introduced QuarkXPress Server 7.2.

QuarkXPress Server helps develop and deliver web-to-print and variable data publishing (VDP) solutions that automate the creation of ads, catalogues, or other creative materials.

Linda Chase, senior vice president of enterprise products for Quark said: "Many of our customers as well as our partners' customers are in need of a solution for automating their publishing process.

"QuarkXPress Server 7.2 helps meet that need by moving users beyond rigid template-driven design to the creation of richly designed content quickly and easily. "

The latest version adds XML capability, which helps users repurpose content created in QuarkXPress into other systems, such as an email server, web server or other content delivery environments.

The software also supports a wide range of web standards, including HTTP, SOAP, .Net, ASP, PHP, JSP and includes a Java manager for the rapid development of automated and scalable publishing solutions.

QuarkXPress Server 7.2 also lets users configure additional servers, sort out load balancing and deliver automated error reporting from a centralised location.
