Rovi Corporation has announced the launch of Roxio Toast 11 Titanium and Toast 11 Pro, its media conversion software packages.

First look: Roxio Toast 11

Coming a little over two years after the last version of Toast, Toast 11 has been redesigned from the ground up, according to the company, and boasts an entirely new interface.

Several features have been added due to popular demand, the company said, such as the ability to record to multiple drives simultaneously and the ability to save custom video profiles.

There are also built-in features to help speed up the process of uploading video directly to YouTube or social networking sites such as Facebook and the product update mechanism has also been streamlined.

"From personal photos and home movies, to streaming internet radio and user-generated content on YouTube, people are enjoying media in many forms and from a variety of sources," said Corey Ferengul, EVP of Products at Rovi Corporation.

"The pain often comes when attempting to move a piece of media between devices or platforms. This is where Toast really shines - it gets the media you love where you want it, effortlessly," he continued.

Toast 11 Pro brings everything that the Titanium edition has plus more, including a plug-in required to author Blu-ray Disc video (Titanium users will need to pay for this) and four other digital media applications - Adobe's PhotoShop Elements 9, SmartSound Sonicfire Pro 5, BIAS SoundSoap SE and FotoMagico 3.

Roxio Toast 11 Titanium costs £84.99 and Roxio Toast 11 Pro costs £124.99. Downloadable or physical versions can be ordered through the Roxio website.
