Skype has released Skype for Mac 2.0.

The new version of the internet telephony application lets Mac users make both video and audio calls over the internet. The software lets users call land lines and mobile phones if users have a Skype Out account.

Calls between Skype owners are free. You can chat with one person or have a group chat with up to 100 people at a time; conference calls with up to four people are also supported.

The software requires an 800MHz G4 Mac or later; Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later, 512MB RAM and 40MB disc space. A microphone and internet connection are also required.
