Skype has launched a new service, Skype Pro, offering free phone calls to domestic landlines in Europe for a subscription charge of just €2 (excluding VAT) per month.
Skpe Pro also offers free voicemail, a discount on SkpeIn numbers (which allow others on mobile or fixed lines to dial a Skype user) and €5 of SkypeOut credit.

These features complement existing services, such as free calls and video calls between Skype users, instant messaging, file transfer, ten-way conference calls and 100-person group presentations.

Stefan Oberg, vice president of Telecoms at Skype says: “With Skype Pro, we’re making it easier for our 171 million registered users to buy our paid-for communications products."

The service will initially be available across Europe in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Portugal, Spain and the UK
Skype Pro will be rolled out to other countries worldwide later in 2007.
