There's been plenty of love for iOS 7, Apple's new mobile operating system. Here we round up the most positive reviews of Apple iOS 7.
Apple iOS 7 was launched at WWDC 2013 on Monday night, and the tech world was soon buzzing. Some tech analysts strongly criticised iOS 7, Apple's new mobile operating system for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, but there was also plenty of love for its dramatic new looks and features.
Here we round up some of the more positive reviews and first impressions on Apple iOS 7 - but bear in mind that it's still in beta, and there may be major changes before the official version of iOS 7 launches in the autumn.
Apple iOS 7: Flatter visuals
"Let's get one thing out of the way right off the bat: we absolutely love the look of iOS 7," he writes.
"It may just be that iOS finally looks markedly different from how it has been for the past 5 years, it may be that Apple has finally left behind the hideous skeuomorphism techniques, or it may just be that it reminds us of a mashup between Windows Phone and Google Now. Whatever the reason, we think Apple has done a solid great job of adopting the best of the competition to make something decidedly Apple.
"Apple has ditched skeuomorphism and the tacky fake materials… and brought a very nice, clean design to the platform."

Apple iOS 7: User-friendliness
Talking about iOS 7 in a video review, Mark Zamora said that he'd never found his iPhone 5 so easy to use.
"It's really, really great; It's really, really intuitive," he said. "I think it was an amazing decision from Apple. I loved my iPhone 5 when I first bought it, but I've never been so happy with my device until I got iOS 7."
Apple iOS 7: Control Center
Layton Duncan, writing for the National Business Review, is impressed by the new Control Center feature.
"The interaction and functionality changes and refinements introduced are delightful," he writes. "Swiping up from the bottom of the lock screen will present a sheet full of useful functions such as toggling Airplane mode, turning on and off WiFi and Bluetooth, fast access to the timer, calculator and camera, and much more."
Similarly positive about Control Center, Ian Kar, discussing the beta of iOS 7 on Heavy.com, writes: "It's something that is extremely basic, [but] it is incredibly useful for quickly and efficiently turning off some key features that can deplete your battery life."
Apple iOS 7: Safari web browser
Ian Kar also praised Safari's new features.
"Safari's update is gorgeous and the omnibar and full-screen mode are somewhat basic features," he writes, "but its good that Apple finally updated Safari to include those features. Safari can now also have more than 8 tabs open at the same time and the interface to open/close tabs in Safari has been altered as well."
