Nalpeiron has announced a solution enabling Mac developers to implement anti-piracy technologies in their software.

The company today introduced a Software Developers Kit (SDK) for Mac developers. It already provides the PRO-Tector range of SDKs for Windows, but has responded to customer requests to deliver a Mac-supporting software anti-piracy platform.

The solution works on both Mac and Windows platforms.

"We are delighted to be working with the Mac developer community to help them reduce piracy and increase sales through better licensing," said Jon Gillespie-Brown, Nalpeiron CEO.

The piracy protection software is flexible. Developers can offer their software in both limited and complete versions, and also exploit Nalpeiron's hosted activation service.

The solution offers a full API-based secure trial framework that can be deployed in a day.

Nalpeiron's PRO-Tector Standard lets developers electronically generate, track and enforce software licenses and protect against unauthorized use by implementing a range of patent-pending product activation and software copy protection options.

Developers can choose from full, Try-Before-You-Buy or Try-Before-You-Die support for metred or time-based trials. The software works with applications developed using Apple's XCode development tools.
