Apple will give 50 iPods to a Scottish school as part of an initiative to harness its music players in the classroom.

Gracemount High School is to develop ways to use the iPods in class, particularly as language learning aids, The Scotsman reports.

The deal almost failed when school insurers refused to offer cover on the iPods, because part of the experiment involves letting kids take their language lessons home. However, a local MP stepped in to solve the conundrum.
