The 21st Apple Expo will take place on from the 31 August to September 4 in Paris. Show organisers Reed Expositions expect to see 70,000 visitors over the five days – last year 75,000 visitors were anticipated.
Reed say this year's show will focus on the corporate world and its major growth sectors: mobility, nomad IT solutions and ISPs. The show will also feature distinct display areas for professionals and the general public, in these Solution Centres specific information regarding design, education, games, music, SMEs/SMIs and healthcare will be targeted to the visitors needs.
The show will also include special workshops for the general public, these will include Mac network gaming tournament, and a GarageBand workshop.
Back to school
A series of conferences will run throughout Apple Expo. Entry is free to all Apple Expo conferences but pre-registration is essential. Seminars will cover education, video, Mac OS X, Xserve, music and other areas.
From Garage Band to The Grammy's will show attendees how to record audio and MIDI, use real-time effects and loops to enhance the composition, go pro with Logic professional audio software, and output surround sound to DVD.
iLife for the Classroom will demonstrate how digital creation tools can enhance lessons.
Mac and Windows Compatibility will examine how Mac OS X simplifies the integration of different platforms in any work environment.
Mac OS X and Security will discuss how, with Mac OS X, Apple has implemented a security strategy that is central to the design of the operating system.
New solutions for HealthCare is targeted at Healthcare professionals such as doctors, dentists and paramedics and will showcase several practical Healthcare solutions running under Mac OS X including medical image compression and a new bio medical application that will revolutionise the way diagnostics will be done in the future.
