Podcasting pioneer and former MTV show host Adam Curry has secured $8.85 million in venture capital for his company, PodShow.

MarketWatch reports investment has come from Sequoia Capital and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. These firms have previously invested in Netscape, Google, Amazon and of course - Apple Computer.

It appears Curry and his partner, Ron Bloom, are developing a network of podcasts which they plan to market to advertisers.
