Adobe has released a second beta version of Adobe Scalable Graphics Viewer 3.0, which supports Mac OS X 10.1 natively.
Adobe SVG is a browser extension that lets current versions of popular Web browsers render SVG. SVG is the World Wide Web Consortium’s emerging, open language for describing two-dimensional graphics in Extensible Markup Language (XML).
It's an open-standard vector-graphics language for Web designers to utilise in order to create Web pages with high-resolution graphics, including gradients, embedded fonts, transparency, animation and filter effects using plain text commands.
This version includes a number of new features and performance enhancements. These include support for colour profiles, titles and views. It also integrates support for Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and saves into a compressed SVG format, called .svgz.
The beta is available for download from Adobe.
Adobe Illustrator 9.0 will export SVG directly.
