Agfa has announced the SnapScan e25 USB scanner.

Available now, the scanner costs £84 and has a 600-x-1,200dpi resolution, and 42-bit colour. It offers three on-body control buttons that can send an image directly to the printer, send it by email or launch Agfa's ScanWise software for manual control of scan settings.

The product has interchangeable colour handles – berry blue, tangerine and graphite – and comes with optical character recognition software and Corel Print Office 2000. Agfa claims its scanner delivers true 42-bit colour depth with no reliance on interpolation.
