Analysts at Goldman Sachs are warning that iPod shipments may drop in the first half of 2006, claims DigiTimes.

They warn that Apple may sell up to one million less media players in the period. The company sold 14 million in its last quarter.

Analysts warn this could impact Apple's contracted iPod manufacturer, Asustek.

Asustek points out that the first quarter is traditionally a slow season, and said it expects demand to resume in the third quarter.
