Apple has fired or transferred its Aperture engineering team, a report claims.

According to Mac news source, Think Secret, several engineers have left the company while others have been shifted to different projects.

Citing "sources", the report explains that internally, development of the software is a "mess", and its underlying architecture may need a complete rewrite.

Before the product was released last November, the report claims: "Responsibility for the application's image processing pipeline was taken away from the Aperture team and given to the Shake and Motion team 'to fix as best they can'."
