Apple has acquired ownership of the New Zealand version of the iTunes domain, itunes.co.uz.
The company reached an agreement with a local businessman to take ownership of the name. He is reported to be "satisfied" with the exchange, according to a local report on Stuff NZ.
Apple is reported to have approached the businessman in May to arrange transfer of the domain, through which he formerly sold iPods on Amazon.
The report observes previous rumours of a May launch for iTunes in the country, and mentions Apple's launch of iTunes Music Store in Japan last week.
