Apple has further updated its server products, with the launch of a single G4 Power Mac server-configuration, called Fastest.
The update replaces the 533MHz server – the only one available on the Apple Store yesterday, following Apple's withdrawal of the two other models that were previously available as part of the line.
The US Apple Store now only offers a G4 server featuring a 733MHz G4 processor, 256K L2 cache, 256MB RAM, an 80GB Ultra ATA drive, CD-RW drive, NVidia GeForce2 MX graphics card, and dual FireWire and USB connectivity. A SCSI card is also available. This ships with Mac OS X Server and costs $2,799.
Neither the newly launched Republic of Ireland store, or the UK store, had been updated at the time of writing.
