Apple has cancelled an order for video iPod manufacturing, a report claims.

A March report citing the Chinese-language Economic Daily News had claimed that Quanta had been contracted to manufacture video iPods for Apple, but that's no longer the case, apparently.

DigiTimes reports that the order "has been shifted" to an unspecified manufacturer. Quanta refused comment on the news.

In recent days, Apple's long-term iPod chip partner PortalPlayer revealed that Apple, its main customer, had not chosen to use its technologies in some future iPods.
