KRCS Group is to open a new Apple Centre in Leicester, and is celebrating by giving away iPods.

This will be the company's fourth high-street Apple Centre. It opens in the Haymarket Centre on Tuesday May 4.

KRCS managing director Ken Woods said: "Leicester is home to a very high number of print, creative, and related industries. We have had a strong customer base in the area for many years, so the city was always part of our high-street expansion plans.

"Our existing professional customers will find our new Haymarket premises convenient for urgent purchases or advice, as well as being ideally situated for the ordinary Apple shopper. Despite the high proportion of creatives in the area, Leicester has never had an Apple supplier on the high street, so we expect a good response from the home market as well."

The new operation will be headed by Chris Lea of KRCS’s Apple Centre in Leeds.

To celebrate the launch KRCS is giving away a 15GB iPod in a free prize draw. To enter visit the KRCS Apple Centre at 17 Belgrave Gate, Haymarket Centre, Leicester, between May 4 and 15. In addition, the first eight customers to buy a Mac will receive a free Apple T-shirt.
