Apple's financial brains will speak to analysts at a forthcoming Goldman Sachs conference.

The company's chief financial officer Peter Oppenheimer will speak at the Goldman Sachs Technology Investment Symposium 2005 on February 24 at 12.30pm PST (8.30pm UK time).

Oppenheimer's statements will be recorded, with an audio webcast of the event promised by Apple.

The conference runs February 23-25. Goldman Sachs explains: "The management of 140 leading technology companies will present over the three-day program. The conference is structured to provide interaction with leaders in an informal setting."

Other speakers in the frame to talk include: Adobe Systems CFO Murray Demo; HP executive vice president, Mike Winkler; the manager of IBM global services, John Joyce; Motorola chairman and CEO, Ed Zander; Real Networks CEO Rob Glaser.
