Apple’s new MacBook Pro with Retina display has been met by rave reviews from critics, but many have found that returning to their non-Retina Macs has made their old displays look blurry in comparison. This, plus the omission of a refresh to Apple’s desktop computer at WWDC, has led some to the conclusion that the next product Apple will launch will be a Retina display iMac.

A new report suggests that Apple will likely launch the next iPhone this year, but we should expect to see an iMac with Retina display first. With the iPhone set to launch along iOS 6 in September or October, this could mean the iMac will arrive this summer.

Apple announced an abundance of new products at its WWDC keynote on Monday, including the aforementioned Retina display MacBook Pro, as well as updated MacBook Pros, MacBook Airs, iOS 6, and new Mountain Lion features.

Following the keynote, Apple quietly launched a new iPad Smart Case and an update to the Mac Pro, which Apple later removed the ‘new’ icon from following an outcry from the Mac world.
