As expected, Apple introduced iTunes Custom Cards to Europe at Glastonbury Festival last week.

Huge iPod posters were clearly evident at strategic locations across the site; while Apple had also placed ads within the festival programme, the daily festival magazine and was running a series of daily iPod giveaway competitions, too.

The company describes its iTunes Custom Cards as: "An exciting new promotional tool for record labels, artist managers and promoters to distribute music to fans."

The front of the card features a special custom design, while the back contains a unique download code for a specific song or album on the iTunes Music Store.

Custom Cards were presented to artists, labels and fans over the course of the festival.
