Ever since the launch of the new photo-viewing iPod Apple has seemed undecided over the correct spelling of its name.

In the majority of instances the iPod Photo was written with a capital P. But in others a small p – following the established pattern of the iPod mini – had crept in.

It has now emerged that Apple had not entirely made its mind up as to how the new products name should appear. Now it has decided that the product should be referred to as the iPod photo – small p.

The company has set about updating all the areas on its Web site where the product had been capitalised.

According to iPodlounge Apple resellers and members of the Apple Consultants Network received confirmation of the change from the company yesterday.
