Apple is accepting submissions for its Ninth Annual Apple Design Awards, which will be presented at WWDC. The awards recognize excellence in Application Software, QuickTime Content, and new for 2004 – Performance Demos.

The Awards for QuickTime Content recognize technical excellence and achievement in authoring, outstanding production value, advanced encoding quality, innovation, and ease of use in content navigation.

The categories are outlined by the 3G Forum. They are: Best QuickTime Content for Promotion, Best QuickTime Content for Education, and Best QuickTime Content for Entertainment 2004.

The deadline for submissions is May 17. Winners can choose between 17-inch PowerBook G4 or a Power Mac G5 for their prize.

Apple will offer a session on QuickTime and Digital Media at WWDC.
