Apple has quietly removed its 1.8GHz Power Mac G5 from sale through its online Apple Store.
The model still appears available on the UK store, where it costs £999 (including VAT).
If emulated across its international markets the move means Apple's professional desktops are all dual-processor machines at this point. Customers who don't need that kind of power can instead opt to buy a G5 iMac.
Apple's G5 iMac is presently the top-selling product through the company store.
IBM presently offers a problem to Apple, as it has been unable to meet its promised schedule in terms of shipping processors in sufficient quantity or ramping up of speeds. The Power Mac line, for example, remains short of the 3GHz model Apple originally anticipated it would have available last year when it moved to the supplier.
