Apple has released Apple DVD Player 3.1.1 for Mac OS X.

The update – available in English, French, German and Spanish, among other languages – is a 5MB download.

New features of this update include the ability to select and play the contents of a Video_TS folder from a local volume – such as an attached drive or Mac.

The update also adds AppleScript support for selection and DVD playback.

A new ‘wide’ layout for the info window and various stability enhancements also feature.

This update differs to the 3.1 update released earlier this month. DVD Player 3.1.1 fixes an issue that occurred on non-English versions of OS X using the Graphite OS X appearance theme.

In this configuration, DVD Player 3.1 would unexpectedly quit when opened.
