Apple has announced its yearly seminar for UK teachers, called the Apple Teacher Institute 2003.

It will take place between April 8 and 11 at Cheltenham College, Gloucestershire. Registration for the four day course isn't open yet. Attendance costs £199 (ex-VAT). This year's theme is "Learning in a Digital world".

The event will focus on the need to identify best practice in the use of the tools available to educators. Participants will get the chance to develop their own ideas about digital literacy; and get to see how others apply digital technologies in the classroom.

Different topics will also be explored: the language of the moving image; using digital video in the curriculum; new technologies for content broadcasting; sharing experiences; planning and portfolio development; and the development of skills for subject and age-group relevant projects.

A full agenda for the event is available online.

Apple ran a similar event in 2002, which attracted positive feedback from those taking part.
