Europe has been selected as the focus of Apple's online marketing drive to promote sales of its MP3 player – the iPod – reports claim.

Details of a promotion hosted on the music portal's UK, German and French-based sites by Apple will appear in site advertising and users' emails. will also host a competition to win one of the devices. The Apple Store will use's 'singleserving' emails for the campaign.
