The product can build 3D designs for motion graphics, print and the Web. The company has also focused on ensuring its product integrates well within existing design environments, such as: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel Painter, Shockwave, Flash, Final Cut Pro, Avid Xpress and AfterEffects.

New product features include a terrain editor and scene manipulators, improved motion paths and timeline support. Carrara 4 Pro software also adds multi-node distributed rendering, vector and 3D motion blur and extended file import.

The product ships in October. US pricing has been announced. Carrara 4 Pro, $599; Carrara 4 Standard, $299. Customers acquiring Carrara Studio 3 between August 31 and November 30 will be eligible for a free upgrade to the new versions when they ship.

Previous UK price for Carrara Studio 3 was £299 (excluding VAT).

Eovia is also accepting pre-booking of the Carrara 4 upgrade on the Eovia e-store. Users can upgrade from Carrara Studio 2 or 3 to Carrara 4 Pro for $199 and to Carrara 4 Standard for $129.
