Apple UK will be taking registrations from lunchtime today for another of its education-focused digital video Discovery Days.

Apple is using the events to show teachers how digital video can transform education and learning.

An Apple spokesperson said: “With Digital Video you can tell stories, demonstrate science experiments, perform drama or role plays, develop visual literacy, record lessons for others to watch later, create coursework, gather evidence, celebrate pupil achievement, analyse a musical performance – the list goes on and on.

“Desktop movies are fun – they energize and motivate pupils in new ways.”

The events build on the success of Apple's European Discovery Sessions. These took place in four cities across the UK this year.

Attendees will be walked how to plan, shoot, edit and title digital movies.

The event takes place in Bristol on September 17 at 1.30pm. More events are “in the pipeline”, sources claim, but these have not yet been announced.
