Apple has contracted Foxconn Electronics to manufacture notebooks starting from 2007.

DigiTimes explains that as a result of gaining the business from Apple, Foxconn now expects to ship 3.2 million notebooks next year, including an estimated 1.5 million Macs.

The company already manufactures an estimated 1.2 million notebooks to Sony and around half a million notebooks are scheduled to be shipped to Lenovo next year.

Foxconn already manufactures iPods for Apple.
