Apple has sold over one million videos through the iTunes Music Store since October 12, the company confirmed today.

With 2,000 music videos, Pixar short films and (in the US) hit television shows to choose from, Apple is evidently pleased at the success.

Top downloads included music videos from Michael Jackson, Fatboy Slim and Kanye West; Pixar's "For the Birds" and "Boundin'"; and episodes of ABC's hit TV shows "Lost" and "Desperate Housewives."

Apple CEO Steve Jobs said: "Selling one million videos in less than 20 days strongly suggests there is a market for legal video downloads."

There may be more in the pipline, Jobs hinted: "Our next challenge is to broaden our content offerings, so that customers can enjoy watching more videos on their computers and new iPods," he said.
