Apple's new Intel-powered notebooks may double in shipments this year, a report implies.
DigiTimes reports that Apple's two main notebook manufacturers in the Far East, Quanta and Asustek, may see their profits boosted by increased sales of Apple notebooks this year.
Quanta is expected to "enjoy significant growth" in its iBook and PowerBook (MacBook Pro) manufacturing, while Asustek may ship "two million iBook models" this year.
Quanta is predicted to see shipments climb 36 per cent, year on year. Asustek will see growth of between 25-46 per cent, the report claims.
