Apple CEO Steve Jobs is expected to appear at a major media mogul get-together starting today.

It's called the Schmooze event and it has taken place each year since 1983. It attempts to gather media leaders, investors and technology gurus in one place, and was initiated by an investment bank with significant interests in the media markets.

Associated Press reports the family-friendly mountain resort has emerged as a "breeding ground for potential merger deals".

"The monster growth of Apple's iPod and similar digital listening devices is sure to be a major topic, as well as the implications it has for the future of traditional radio companies," the report informs.
