Apple's Regent Street retail store is hosting a special music-focused event on May 4, the BRIT School Concert.

Apple states: "The world-famous BRIT School has spawned such luminaries as Katie Melua and Amy Winehouse. Prepare to be wowed as this year's crop of final-year students don their glad rags and perform tracks from their final project: a professional-quality CD showing off their outstanding work as musicians, engineers and producers."

Based in Croydon, the BRIT School is Britain's only free performing arts and technology school for 14-19-year olds. It's an independent, state funded City College for the Technology of the Arts, the only one of its kind dedicated to education and vocational training for the performing arts, media, art and design and the technologies that make performance possible.

The event takes place at 7pm.

On May 2, Apple will host exclusive listening parties for fans of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The band's new album, Stadium Arcadium will be played in full, one week before its official release on May 8. The album has reportedly already been made available illegally through file-sharing networks.
