Two senior Apple executives have left the company in recent weeks, Cnet has confirmed.

It reports that the head of Mac product engineering, Tim Bucher, and AppleCare support vice president, Mark Wilhelm, have both left the company.

A team of workers is overseeing engineering while Bucher's replacement is found. This team reports to executive vice president Tim Cook. The team includes Brit-born Jonathan Ive.

Bucher was promoted to lead Apple's engineering efforts when Jon Rubinstein left to lead the new iPod division.
