Apple's MacBook Air is the most popular thin-and-light laptop available, data from NPD has found.

According to NPD Group analyst Stephen Baker, the MacBook Air accounted for 56 per cent of all thin-and-light laptop sales in the US during the first five months of 2013, reports CNET.

Of course, those statistics don't even take into account the sales of Apple's updated MacBook Air models, which were launched at WWDC in June.

The new MacBook Air has received glowing reviews thanks to its new Haswell processors and impressive battery life. Check out our video review of the MacBook Air 2013 for more information.
