Apple is putting its marketing weight behind the UK's independently-run MacExpo 2002 event.

In a recent email sent to UK Mac users, Apple says it will promote its vision for a digital future at the show, with a particular focus on the Game Zone. It promises the area will be a "must see" for the gaming fanatic.

Over 100 exhibitors will be at the show, and a series of seminars – focusing music, video, photography and design – are planned.

"This year's MacExpo promises to be bigger, better and bolder than ever before," promises the company. The show also includes a Developer's Zone, which "will be a magnet to anyone wishing to create using a Mac", claims Apple.

"MacExpo 2002 encapsulates everything that is uniquely Apple," it claims. MacExpo 2002 runs from November 21 to 23, 2002, at Islington's Business Design Centre. Admission is £10, though for a limited time its just £5 for those pre-registering for the show through the MacExpo Web site.
