Apple may have plans to introduce 15.4-inch MacBooks in the second quarter of 2007, DigiTimes claims.

The report — which cites shadowy "sources" — predicts the new model will fill the gap between the consumer notebook and the 15.4-inch model MacBook Pro.

According to DigiTimes, Apple will sell 700,000 MacBooks in the first quarter of 2007, and shipments will most likely be boosted when the range is refreshed.

Prices for the range are predicted to fall slightly, as Apple customers benefit from cheaper component costs.
